.out of the blue.

I managed, instigated, curated and promoted exhibitions all year round (changing every 2.5 weeks) for 3 years at out of the blue, a multi-arts and education trust in Edinburgh. My duties included: exhibition design, publicity design, documentation, budgeting, promotion, sponsorship and fundraising, handling and delivery of diverse types of artwork, collaborating with other organisations and sharing resources. Outreach projects (SiteNsounD, Gozone) widened our audiences. Talks and catalogues provided context for artists’ work.

Projects included:
Square Foot: Organising a week of events focusing on the need for studio space in Scottish cities. This incorporated A Square Foot conference/seminarat CIty Art Centre, Edinburgh and A Foot Squared exhibition exchange with Glasgow Independent studios.
Locate: Collaborating with Edinburgh College of Art fine art undergraduates and post graduates creating installations andartwork throughout out of the blue’s New St building.
