.a drop-in drawing workshop at the Eden Project & the big draw 2010 - Launceston

At Eden: 2 days drawing using white and black conte pencils some using long bamboo sticks to work large and expressively. All ages and abilities passed through and some returned for more fun! A feature was family groups some of whom said they wouldn't usually draw together and wished they did. Drawers responded to a wide variety of curios on the table. (first 2 pics)

At Launceston Library: A day of drawing white on black and black on white at Launceston Library with adults and two primary school groups. Materials were good quality black and white conte drawn big using bamboo sticks with chalks on the ends or small in squares that made up a chequerboard display. Resources were mini creatures, microscope images, bugs etc. It was a lot of fun and some lovely drawing done during the day. It was good to think about scale, to draw big and to enjoy drawing on black. (4 pics below)
